What the questions look like

Free question banks give you hundreds of items and no idea where you stand. The explanation is the product — so here is a whole one, answer included, rather than a claim about the standard.

Your agent defines a lookup_order tool. Claude asks for it, your code runs the lookup successfully, and you send the result back — but Claude replies as though the lookup never happened and asks for the order id again. The tool ran and returned correct data. What is the most likely cause?

  • aThe tool result was sent as a new user message describing the outcome, rather than as a tool_result block referencing the tool_use id.
  • bThe tool definition is missing a description, so the model cannot interpret what came back.
  • cTool results have to be sent in a separate request before the conversation continues.
  • dThe model needs tool_choice set to the same tool for it to accept a result.
Why

A tool result is matched to its request by the tool_use id, inside a tool_result block. Describing the outcome in prose is just another user turn — the model sees an unanswered tool call and asks again. The missing-description answer is tempting because a vague description genuinely does cause bad tool use, but it would show up as the model calling the wrong tool or filling arguments badly, not as it ignoring a result it never received in a form it could read.

Every question comes with that explanation — what the right answer turns on, and why the most tempting wrong one is wrong. Written by engineers who build on this API. Not yet second-read by another person, which the report says too.

Who can sit a Claude exam

Hydralogic AI enables learners to prepare for and take an Anthropic certification exam through our institute. We provide access to Anthropic's official Skilljar learning portal and guide you through preparation, registration and the official exam pathway. Anthropic's eligibility, identity and booking requirements still apply. You sit the official exam and pay Anthropic separately; our fee covers your preparation sprint or programme.

AWS, Microsoft and Google exams are open to anyone and booked directly with the vendor. Whichever exam you sit, the credential is issued by the vendor to you, and we never take exam money.

Why this isn't free

Because the free things are already good.

Vendor training is free and thorough, and there are independent question banks that cost nothing. We’re not going to pretend those don’t exist.

The Sprint covers our digital welcome kit, onboarding guidance, and additional pilot mock sets. Study on the official platform and use your practice reports to identify gaps. Higher-tier training has its own listed inclusions and availability.

Payment questions

Money, plainly.

Does any price here include the exam fee?
No — and one number makes this confusing, so read this bit. The Claude Associate exam costs $99, which is exactly what we charge for Sprint. They are not the same money. Claude exams are Developer $125, Associate $99, Architect $125, Architect Pro $175, booked with and paid to Anthropic directly, per attempt. We never take exam money.
Do I pay for more than one tier?
Never. It is one ladder and each tier contains the ones below it — $199 includes everything in $99, and $999 includes everything in both. Buy the one you want and stop there.
Can I move up later?
Yes, and you only pay the difference: $100 from Sprint to Guided + Labs, $800 from Guided + Labs to the programme, $900 from Sprint straight to the programme. Email us and we’ll invoice it. There is no self-serve upgrade button yet.
How many mock sets can I try for free?
One distinct practice set per track: Developer Foundations and Architect Foundations. You can repeat these free sets. A paid preparation plan unlocks the other four pilot sets per track. These short pilot sets support learning; they do not guarantee official exam readiness.
What am I paying Hydralogic AI for?
You pay us for the welcome kit and mock preparation services included in your chosen plan. The kit provides a preparation checklist, official learning links and institute onboarding guidance. Your payment to us is not an Anthropic exam fee; official learning access is subject to vendor eligibility and invitations.
Can I prepare for and take the Anthropic exam through your institute?
Hydralogic AI enables learners to prepare for and take an Anthropic certification exam through our institute. We provide access to Anthropic's official Skilljar learning portal and guide you through preparation, registration and the official exam pathway. Anthropic's eligibility, identity and booking requirements still apply. You sit the official exam and pay Anthropic separately; our fee covers your preparation sprint or programme.
Will I receive a course completion certificate?
Yes. After completing your course, you receive a course completion certificate from Hydralogic AI. This recognises completion of our training. The official Anthropic certification is a separate credential, issued by Anthropic after you pass its exam.
Is the Anthropic exam fee included, and who do I pay?
The exam fee is not included in our sprint or programme fee. You register for the official exam and pay Anthropic separately, using the payment options available in its official booking flow. We do not collect your exam payment. Check the final fee and any eligible discount before paying.
Do you support a second attempt if I do not pass?
We do not currently support exam re-attempts or include a second attempt in our offering. We plan to introduce re-attempt support, but it is not available yet and no launch date is confirmed. Any retake you arrange independently is subject to Anthropic's current rules and separate fees.
Are discounts available for the exam or your training?
We offer Anthropic exam discounts when available, subject to eligibility and the terms of the relevant offer. These apply to the exam fee, not automatically to our sprint fee. We may also run separate discounts on Hydralogic AI training. Amounts, validity and eligibility will be confirmed for each offer; a discount is not guaranteed with every enrolment.
Will other certifications follow the same approach?
Yes. As we introduce other certification tracks, we plan to offer training, our course completion certificate and help with the vendor's official exam pathway. Vendor exam fees stay separate. Access, discounts and retake support will be confirmed for each track before you enrol; upcoming tracks are not available until announced.
What if I get stuck with access, registration or payment?
Contact Hydralogic AI at hello@hydralogic.dev or through our contact page. Tell us your track and the step where you are blocked. We can help with institute onboarding and guide you through the official process; Anthropic handles its own exam bookings, payments and exam rules.
Is a Sprint for one exam or all of them?
One exam. Pick the track when you buy. The Claude tracks come first; AWS, Microsoft and Google tracks follow.
Is this a subscription?
No. Every price here is one-time. Nothing auto-renews.
What if it isn't useful?
Ask and we’ll refund you. The refund policy is written plainly and covers sessions we fail to deliver, not just changing your mind.
Can I expense this?
We’ll send a proper invoice on request. Plenty of employers will cover certification preparation — it’s worth asking before you pay for it yourself. Training a whole team? See team cohorts.
