The Claude Certification Exams — What They Actually Are
The Claude Certification Program by Anthropic offers four role-based, proctored exams designed to validate practical skills for using, building, and deploying Claude-powered solutions in real-world and production environments. Unlike simple course-completion badges, these certifications verify applied expertise through identity-verified exams.
The four certifications are:
- Claude Certified Associate: Foundations — for consultants, project leads, and business or technical professionals.
- Claude Certified Developer: Foundations — for developers building applications with Claude, including API, tool use, and agents.
- Claude Certified Architect: Foundations — for solution architects designing and building Claude-based agent systems.
- Claude Certified Architect: Professional — an advanced certification covering enterprise architecture, governance, integration, and evaluation.
In short: Claude certifications demonstrate that an individual has practical skills to work with, develop, architect, and deploy Claude solutions in production. The certifications are earned by individuals and can also contribute to an organisation’s standing in the Claude Partner Network.

Anthropic runs four role-based tracks — you choose which to sit. Each exam is booked with and paid to Anthropic directly, per attempt, and is never included in what you pay us. This page covers CCDV-F in depth because it is the one we know best and the first we build preparation for.

The Associate exam fee is $99, which is also what we charge for our Sprint. They are separate payments to separate parties, and we would rather point that out than have you discover it at checkout.

Worth knowing before you buy anything from anyone in this space, because it tells you who is actually accountable for what. We prepare people. We do not issue the credential and we never touch your exam fee.
Anthropic
Sets the exams, runs Partner Academy, and issues the certifications. Takes your exam fee directly.
Pearson VUE
Administers the exam — online proctoring or a test centre.
Credly
Issues the digital badge after a pass.
Hydralogic AI
The training and certification unit of Hydralogic AI, a Claude Partner Network partner. We prepare you for the exam with study plans, mocks and labs. We coordinate access to official Skilljar learning and the exam pathway through our institute. We issue a course completion certificate; Anthropic issues the exam credential and collects the exam fee separately.
We do not administer, proctor, score, or issue this exam — and nobody selling you preparation does. If a provider blurs that line, it is worth asking what else they are blurring.

The developer track is about building with Claude, not about knowing facts about Claude. The area people underestimate is tool use — it’s where hands-on experience separates most clearly from having read the docs.

Confirm the current objectives yourself. The eight areas above are our reading of the developer exam guide as reported by community sources, not a reproduction of the official blueprint, and we have not yet read that guide at its source. Exam scope changes as the product does — check Anthropic’s own exam guide before you book.
Retakes are not free, and not immediate.
A failed attempt means paying the full fee again and waiting out a period before you can retake — and the waiting period grows with each failure. There is also a cap on attempts within a rolling twelve months.
This is the single strongest argument for finding out where you stand before you book. It’s also, transparently, the reason our free readiness check exists — it’s genuinely useful to you, and people who discover a gap are the people who buy something from us afterwards. We’d rather say that than pretend otherwise.
