We do not administer, proctor, score, or issue this exam — and nobody selling you preparation does. If a provider blurs that line, it is worth asking what else they are blurring.

The developer track is about building with Claude, not about knowing facts about Claude. The area people underestimate is tool use— it’s where hands-on experience separates most clearly from having read the docs.
Working with the API

Retakes are not free, and not immediate.
A failed attempt means paying the full fee again and waiting out a period before you can retake — and the waiting period grows with each failure. There is also a cap on attempts within a rolling twelve months.
This is the single strongest argument for finding out where you stand before you book. It’s also, transparently, the reason our free readiness check exists — it’s genuinely useful to you, and people who discover a gap are the people who buy the prep pack. We’d rather say that than pretend otherwise.
